AR Didrachm, 8.64g. 22mm.  c.455-440 B.C.  Hound wearing collar standing to left.  Rev. Head of the nymph Segesta to right with hair tied in taenia; ethnic inscription around.   Hurter, Segesta 94.b(this coin listed).  SNG ANS 621 dies. Kraay and Hirmer, Greek Coins, plate 70, 198(this coin); a few minor marks.   Lovely old cabinet toning, an unusual full strike, and with an impressive pedigree.
