AR Stater, 9.94g. 18mm. c.520 B.C.  Ithyphallic satyr and nymph standing and facing each other; the satyr grabs nymph's right arm; three pellets in fields to right and left.   Rev. Rough diagonally divided incuse separating three sunken and one partially raised section.  AMNG III, 67,4 and  pl. XIV, 19.   Kraay, ACGC,  pl. 29, 515var.  Kagan, "An Archaic Greek Coin Haord from the Eastern Mediterranean and Early Cypriot Coinage", in NC, 1994, 29,8 and pl. 1,8.  A robust archaic style with expressive faces from the early period of this issue; toned with a fine craquelure surface.
