Bruttium, Kaulonia, overstruck on Akragas

AR Stater, 8.10g. 22mm. c.475-425 B.C. Apollo standing to right holding branch; stag in field to right.  Rev. Stag standing to right; laurel branch to right. Noe 98(dies).  HN Italy 2046. This coin is overstruck on a didrachm of Akragas with the undertype of a crab on the obverse and an eagle in profile on the reverse.  The Akragas undertype is from their first series of didrachms struck c.510-470 B.C.
