Coinage with moneyer L Mescinius Rufus, 16 B.C.  Rome mint.  Laureate head of Augustus to right.  Rev.  L MESCINIVS RVFVS.  Mars standing on pedestal inscribed S P Q R   V PR RE CAES(vota pro reditu Caesaris).   RIC 351.  Attractive dark gray toning; this is an unusually complete strike and of exceptional quality.
