Lion attacking stag to right with the the lion biting the stag's head.  SNG BM Black Sea 860. SNG Stancomb 536. MacDonald 42.  Cf. Gorny & Mosch, Munich, Auktion 133, 2004, Los 96 (same obv. die). Very rare, excellent style, and among the finest known examples.  Toned.
