AE 22, 10.70g.  Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Valerian to right.  Rev. Pine cone or mountain(?); star and crescent above.  SNG BN 1848(rev. die).   Dark brown patina.  Scarce.

AE Sestertius, 11.91g. 27mm. Commemorative coin struck after his death, 258 A.D.   DIVO CAES VALERIANO. Bare-headed, draped, and cuirassed bust of Valerian II to right.  Rev. CONSECRATIO S C.  Funeral monument decorated with swags and figures and surmounted by a quadriaga.  RIC 35. Gobl, MIR 43, plate 25,264o.   Very rare; green and brown patina with some light smoothing in the fields and on reverse.
