Geta as Caesar, 208-209 A.D.

AR Denarius, 3.45g.  20mm.  P SEPTIMIVS GETA CAES.  Bare head of Geta to right.  Rev.  PONTIF COS II.  Genius sacrificing over altar to left with outstretched patera; grain in right hand.  RIC 59b(obverse die).   BMC 581.  Exceptional style and quality.  As struck with luster under toning.

 AE 25, 13.40g.; Dated Year 270 = 207/8 A.D..Bare-headed, draped, and cuirassed bust of Geta to right. Rx:  War god standing facing, wearing kalathos and horns, holding eagle-tipped scepter and Victory;  recumbent bull on either side below.  Spijkerman pl. 24, 7a (same obverse die). Sofaer 6-8var.
